This is the second of a three sequence course in Structures. This semester will focus on architectural considerations for structures, mechanics of materials, loads in buildings and the study of structural frames. The first course in the sequence, Structures I - ARCH 321/621 covers the investigation of forces, equilibrium, moment and the analysis and design of structures with axial force members including trusses, cables and struts. The next course in sequence, Structures III - ARCH 421/721, covers design of structural metals, wood and reinforced concrete.
